A school under the  bridge

A school under the subway bridge teaches children of these slum colonies."Free School: Under the Bridge" - It has been nominated by its producer Rajesh Kumar Sharma.Let's know something more about the school-

1.The pillars serve as the boundary of the school and the train grows on the bridge from the top, whirling it, he resolves the primary mathematical problems. Nine-year-old Priyanka Kumari wants to avoid her childhood, but the school she studies in it is most unusual - under a subway bridge in East Delhi's Shakarpur area. "It's good to be taught here, I like to come to this school. Sir does the work and then he checks it and tells us where we were wrong," she said.

2.Rajesh Kumar Sharma, the owner of a grocery store in Delhi's Shakarpur area, has taught poor children in his open-air free school under the Delhi Metro Bridge near Yamuna Bank Metro Depot for the last five years."Free School: Under the Bridge" -  was an initiative of Mr. Rajesh Kumar Sharma so that the slum children able to get free education and complete education. But things have changed since Sharma, who runs a grocery store in the neighborhood - has been highlighted internationally in 2011 when the panic of the newspapers snatched away the photographs of his mind around the world.

3.The school is no longer a skeleton and the children have painted behind the high platform used by teachers in vibrant colors. This place is cleaned regularly and the well-wishers have provided the chairs and toilets for the female students. In 2010 more than 50 students from various areas have also increased.Shyam Mehta, a volunteer teacher in the free school, teaches students mathematics.

4.Most of the students participating in the free school are born to migrant workers, laborers, rickshaw drivers and farmers who live in the lid and the structures in the Yamuna villages. Hundreds of migrant laborers, laborers, rickshaw pullers and births of children, who live in poverty in slums and huts and keep illiteracy largely out of school. Most students are registered in government-run schools, but attending free school classes because teaching helps them understand formal curriculum, apart from that, they do not have to pay any money.

5.Classes start at 9 a.m., physical training begins with lessons or two, and runs till 12 noon, after which boys' study starts in government schools. Girls working shift is in the morning and so they can not participate in free school classes other than holidays. So the founder, Sharma is thinking of starting the girl's only batch at 2 o'clock after returning from their schools.
But some children like Shivani Kumari (10) say that there is only one complaint that there is proper food in government schools but it is mostly biscuit here.

6.In the beginning of this year, with the financial assistance of well-wishers and non-governmental organizations, the school had purchased a ready toilet for the students.Going back on time, Sharma says that an incomplete dream of becoming an engineer motivates him to start school.
"In 1989, due to the financial condition of my family, I had to go out in Aligarh after the first year of college. When I passed Class 12 in Science stream, I also dreamed of becoming an engineer. The incomplete dream has changed in this school, "he says.

7.Bihar's tuition teacher Laxmi Chandra joined Sharma in 2011. A native of Nalanda district of Bihar, Chandra is the son of daily workers and a science graduate from the Magadha University of Bihar. While Sharma teaches original Hindi and English, Chandra is focused on mathematics for high school students.
"In Bihar, I have seen that many young boys and girls are dragged into Naxalism because they did not know any other way to think about the better system, maybe their education was lacking. I see poor children, I think they should be guided and educated. Children in this school are hard and intelligent, they all need guidance and we have to provide them."
A third teacher, Shyam Mehta, a part-time teaching teacher from Bihar, attended school last year and teaches elementary mathematics.
However, there are their own issues with running a social-welfare effort, Sharma said that many individuals and organizations have tried to get them involved in small steps and propagate themselves. They say, people, have tried to light without any effort.
