 Former President of India, A P J Abdul Kalam, who had such strong views, is no longer in this world but he will always be alive in the hearts of the people. Although Sir Kalam is not an acquaintance of any introduction, there are such interesting things about him that you might love to know-

1. Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam was born on October 15, 1931, in Rameshwaram in south Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The full name of Dr. Kalam is "Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam".The father of the sailor Kalam was more educated than the profession. They used to hire fishermen for rent. To run a family of five brothers and five sisters, the father's money was very less.

2. Dr. Kalam used to wake up at 4 o'clock in the morning when he was 8, and after going to bed, he used to read mathematics. This was the specialty of his teacher, who used to teach free tuition to Kalam along with five students annually. So, since then, Dr. Kalam had a habit of getting up in the early morning.

3. Dr. Kalam, who was former President of the country, used to divide "newspaper" in childhood. Indeed, he wanted to help his father financially, for which he used to leave the newspaper after coming to school.

4. From 1992 to 1999, Kalam was also the Defense Advisor to the Defense Minister. During this time, the Vajpayee Government also made nuclear tests for the second time in Pokhran and India joined the countries making nuclear weapons.

5. Dr. Kalam was awarded the Bharat Ratna Award in the year 1997. After Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishna and Dr. Zakir Hussain, Kalam is the only person who took over the post of President after holding Bharat Ratna. Bharat Ratna was received by K. R. Narayanan.

6.He is also called "People's Presidency". Because they kept a close relationship with the common people. Doctor Kalam once said that books are his beloved friends. And their house has a library, in which there are thousands of books. Those books are their biggest asset. During an interview, Sir Kalam said that music and dance are such a means through which we can ensure universal peace. Art has the power to bring the whole world together. Dr. Kalam was very attached to music.

7. He was also addressed as "Missile Man". Dr. Abdul Kalam is credited with making India's first indigenous satellite SLV-3 projection machine as Project Director. When  he arrived on 26 May 2006 on the visit to Switzerland, the Government of Switzerland declared that day "Science Day", which is dedicated to Dr. Kalam.

  It had been a  very heartbroken time span when this great man died on July 27, 2015, due to a heart attack.
